What could be causing acne after wearing a mask?

I recently made a mask from natural recipes. But the next day, I got little pimples on my face. My friend says, 'It will be like this until your skin gets used to it, keep going,' but I'm not sure. Do you think this is normal, or should I stop because the mask might not be suitable for me? If anyone has tried it, could you please share your experience?

I think your friend said it wrong. If you have breakouts, that mask might not have been suitable for you. I also made a clay mask once; my skin literally dried out and small pimples came out. I stopped using it right away, and then it went away 🫠

I think it's not necessary to speak so definitively. Your skin might react the first time, but that doesn't mean all masks are bad for your skin. However, if it's inflamed, definitely don't continue. It would be better to consult a dermatologist 😳

In natural recipes, there are sometimes ingredients that can cause irritation to the skin or that don't maintain the right pH. I would recommend asking a dermatologist if it's really suitable for your skin type. For example, you might need to avoid acidic things like lemon.

Let me also mention that there was honey and a little lemon in the mask. I chose that recipe thinking it would be more moisturizing. But as you said, the lemon might have been too much for my skin. Now I feel a bit more certain.

Using natural recipes is risky anyway. I think you need to switch to professional products. Lemon and stuff don't mess with your skin. You're literally turning your skin into a testing ground.

I disagree with my friend; not every natural thing is bad. For instance, I do a honey mask once a week, and my face is smooth. But lemon can indeed be a problem, in my opinion. Cut back on that recipe and give it a try, it might improve.
