My fiancée liked her ex-boyfriend's photo

I noticed that my fiancé liked a photo of his ex on Instagram while browsing. Saying I noticed is an understatement; the notification literally popped up in front of me. This was something we had talked about before, and we agreed not to stir up old issues. I want to ask him, but I’m also hesitant about whether the topic will blow up unnecessarily. What would you do in my situation?

my ex did something like this during his engagement, I just don’t get it, it’s like a habit to dwell on the past. I asked directly, I said, ‘what’s up?’ He said it was a mistake. But if the mind is constantly there, it can cause trouble, be careful :woman_shrugging:

Did this only happen once, or have you caught other things too? I mean, does it seem like there’s a constant connection with the past?

@kahvebitmeden I actually haven’t seen it for the first time. They shared a story related to the old one before as well, and I got annoyed back then too. But it’s not often, these things come up from time to time :woman_facepalming:

@makarnaoncesi was it a mistake, or is it just nonsense? If someone is still so interested in the past, it means there’s still something left inside them; such things shouldn’t be overlooked

I don’t think this can be considered betrayal; you set the boundaries of loyalty personally. But if you find it disturbing, definitely talk about it. Social media habits can be a sensitive issue, and intentions can often get mixed up. Clearly express your feelings and find out what they think.

@benbisorayim you’re being a bit too naive. It starts with a like, and then who knows what it could turn into. It’s not about intent; this is clearly crossing a line.

Everyone talks about loyalty, but isn’t engagement just about getting to know each other? If there are still things that haven’t come up unexpectedly, you’re learning them now. I would bring it up right away; if it grows, let it grow.

just speak directly. there’s no other way.

@yazipsildim just saying ‘still loves’ with just a like is thoughtless. It could even just be absent-mindedness sometimes.
