I shivered when the patron bent over the desk

While at the office, my boss said he wanted to discuss something important about my work. He leaned over the table and started explaining something, but the distance was zero. I don’t remember what I did or what I said, as I got tense because of it. Maybe I overreacted, but if you want to talk so privately, why not just call me to your office? Do you think I’m overreacting?

I think there’s something strange about this. If there’s something that needs to be discussed privately, you call the person into the room; zero contact at the table is ridiculous. I mean, you wouldn’t get that close just to avoid being overheard.

that’s not normal. this is clearly a violation of the border.

Is the patron male or female, by the way? It matters because of the approach.

@kahvebitmeden male boss, I’ve been working with him for 5 years, but this is the first time something like this has happened. He usually behaves like a distant person.

@makarnaoncesi I don’t mean to misunderstand, but isn’t it a bit paranoid to label everything as strange right away? The guy might just have been trying to express his concerns.

It’s unprofessional for him to intrude so much into your personal space without your approval. In employment law, it could create issues of mobbing or security, so if it continues, I would definitely recommend speaking with HR.

@soncaykaldi personal space is an important thing. Even if every action is not malicious, if this kind of comfort is not stopped from the beginning, the problem will grow.
