Girls, my girlfriend and I had a protected relationship, but I’m not sure if the condom was secure. I haven’t had my period for 2 weeks now and I’m literally freaking out. Taking a test seems like it would take a lot of courage, what do you think or am I overreacting? Has anyone experienced something like this?

Take a test and get a clear result. It happened to me once, and I literally couldn’t sleep for 10 days. As it turns out, there was nothing wrong, but I only felt relief after the test. Even if a condom looks sturdy, it’s not a 100% guarantee.

If you doubt the reliability of the condom, take a test right away. A friend of mine had a situation like this; we all freaked out when her period was late. It might also be delayed due to stress, but the only way to know for sure is through a test.

I’m reading the topic, but honestly, you’ve been a bit reckless here too. If you’re not sure, why don’t you just take the test right away? What do you gain by waiting? If you have fears about the pregnancy, it’s your responsibility to clarify this.

Look, period delays can be caused by stress, fatigue, hormonal fluctuations, etc. You mention protected sex, but if there’s a serious suspicion, it’s necessary to consider preventive solutions like the morning-after pill after sexual intercourse. Testing is the first thing that needs to be done. The delay has exceeded 2 weeks, which is already a suitable time for the test.

Thank you for the comments, girls. Honestly, I’ve calmed down a bit, but there’s still fear inside me. Let me add that I don’t have any other pregnancy symptoms, but I’m reading online that sometimes it happens without any symptoms. So, I don’t know, my head is even more confused.

What has caught my attention from the beginning is this: you say, ‘I’m not sure if the condom is intact.’ What kind of uncertainty is this? Did you actually see a concrete hole or something, or is this thought just based on anxiety? Your mind might be cluttered, but you need to clarify a bit more. Maybe there’s really no problem at all, but you’re putting yourself through this for nothing. Of course, we won’t know without testing.
