My quality of life has truly improved since I quit social media

Last week, in a moment of anger, I completely deleted Instagram from my phone. Honestly, I was tired of constantly comparing myself to others. The first two days were tough; I found myself reaching for my phone all the time, but then a sense of relief came over me. I can't explain it — it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. The worries about losing followers or wondering what others were sharing just disappeared. Is there anyone among you who has done a long-term detox like this, or am I just overreacting to this situation?

So, what did you fill that feeling of emptiness from the first two days with? Did you switch to another app instead of Instagram, or did you really stay away from your phone?

I don't think you're exaggerating; when the follower count drops, it really drains a person's energy. After a while, once that comparison thing is over, your mind finally relaxes.
