This morning I had a bagel for breakfast, and my sister immediately commented, “But you were being careful, how can you lose weight like that?” I’ve been paying attention to everything for almost a month now, and whenever I allow myself little treats, she finds something to criticize right away. Does she really want to support me, or is she trying to bring me down? Am I being too sensitive, or has she started to cross the line?

Do you live in the same house? If you’re constantly in front of them, they’re probably interfering more often.
@pazardandondum we’re in the same house, I have to be with family for now. It’s quite annoying that they interfere in everything ![]()
@simittarafinda but you seem to have taken it to heart. Maybe they really meant it, not everyone has bad intentions.
Even if it’s a little indulgent, simit isn’t something that ruins a diet. If it’s whole grain, it’s quite a balanced snack. It’s actually one of the things that dietitians generally recommend ![]()
@kahvegibisi but breakfast is a specific time. Even if it’s whole grain, you shouldn’t eat bagels in unlimited amounts; perhaps his sister might have talked about this detail.
This title always brings up topics like ‘sister said this’, but it’s clear that you guys aren’t holding back on some things either. Why don’t you talk it out among yourselves and put an end to it?
I think he’s overreacting, don’t take it to heart.
What’s the problem with eating simit for breakfast? I mean, if they’re criticizing directly without saying anything extra, the issue is with them, I think. Constantly being interfered with can be stressful ![]()
