Is it possible to lose weight without starving?

Whenever I try to diet, I always end up having hunger crises, and I finally attack junk food. Counting calories is already psychologically exhausting, and with the added hunger, I can’t stand it at all. Do you think the only way is to starve, or is there a different method? Come on, share how you cope!

In the morning when I wake up, my stomach rumbles so much that I feel like I’m going to faint; that dizzy feeling really drives a person crazy. Instead of trying to go completely hungry, I’ve started to nibble on small things. For example, yogurt keeps you full and you can eat it without overdoing it.

I’ve experienced this situation too; I would start again but end up having a junk food craving after two days. To be honest, my problem was cutting out carbohydrates. I switched from bread to whole grain products, which kept me satisfied and reduced my cravings for sweets.

Start directly with a dietitian; whenever I try to make a meal plan on my own, it just doesn’t work. They check your blood values and if there’s a deficiency, they guide you accordingly. Sometimes, hunger cravings are completely due to blood sugar levels.

But I want to say something: it seems like you’ve already restricted yourself a lot psychologically from the start. If counting calories is tiring you, why are you forcing yourself to do it? I think consistency is more important; there’s no need to starve yourself or calculate calories.

Chronic hunger crises are often linked to insulin resistance or low blood sugar. Most people live this way without realizing it, so it may be necessary to consult an endocrinologist. Searching for a solution without being sure of the causes can be a bit frustrating.

Thank you all, I need to add this: I struggle a lot when I cut carbs completely, but I’m afraid I won’t lose weight if I don’t give them up. You mentioned a nutritionist; I guess that will be the most logical choice…

I swear, my daughter, in my time a woman couldn’t lose weight without going hungry anyway. Everyone says to eat bread but eat less, but the body doesn’t get used to this ease. A little willpower is needed, otherwise everyone wants to be slim, but you end up succumbing to societal pressure. It’s a shame for the young people

I also do my diet by constantly drinking coffee, but after a while, I can’t study anymore. I think if you control the intervals instead of what you eat, it resolves the issue. For example, don’t eat anything between breakfast and dinner. Even if you’re hungry in between, you’ll manage

I think we need to consider how you’ve ended up gaining weight; of course, you can’t lose weight if you’re constantly indulging in snacks under the pretext of a crisis. So, have you tried being disciplined this time, trusting yourself? After all, you always say you’ll stop at some point.
