I’ve recently been dealing with an endless health concern. I type in the slightest symptom directly into Google and start concocting disease scenarios. But on the other hand, I think maybe this time there is something serious, and I’m making a mistake by not taking it seriously. Do you think this is just an obsessive worry or should I really see a doctor? Is there anyone else experiencing this situation?

7I used to do that too, googling and scaring myself. I was constantly thinking, ‘Is there pain here?’ I went to the doctor, and it turned out I was actually fine, but they suggested therapy for my anxiety. Maybe you could try seeing a psychologist.
I experienced the same thing. I had a pain in my stomach, and whenever I typed ‘cancer’ on the internet, I was losing my mind. In the end, I went to the internist, and it turned out to be gastritis. I think you should see a doctor; it will ease your mind.
Honestly, the main issue here is how intensely you’re experiencing life. If you’re constantly searching for illnesses on Google and it’s affecting your life, this could be health anxiety. Still, I recommend starting with a check-up to rule out any physical issues. Begin with a general practitioner; they’ll guide you.
Actually, there’s something like this: I recently had a bit of a racing heart, and I researched for hours. I mean, is it something physiological or am I just blowing it out of proportion? I’m not sure.
But how long has this been going on? Did it start in the last few weeks, or has it been like this for months? Also, have you ever received a clear diagnosis from a doctor?
Maybe it’s completely your fault for overthinking it? I don’t understand why you keep checking Google instead of just going to the doctor directly. If it’s something serious, you’re already running late. Don’t you realize this?
No way, this heartbeat thing seems directly related to stress. I read somewhere that people cause palpitations because they think about it. If you stay calm, it will pass.
