Do you have any winter coat recommendations for busty women?

I’m looking for a stylish coat, but I always have problems in the chest area. The buttons feel like they’re going to pop open, or it looks overly puffy. Is it impossible to find an option that is both comfortable and stylish? What do you do about this, or which brand would you recommend?

I’m suffering from the same issue. I always had to buy a larger size because of my bust, or the button wouldn’t close. Now I’m buying plush-looking but zip-up jackets; they keep me warm and the zippers are sturdy. There are really nice models at Mango, I think you should check them out.

Honestly, stay completely away from button-up models; if you’re going to go for a button-up, the double-breasted and belted ones look nicer. I got one of LCW’s belted wool coats, and I didn’t have any issues. It doesn’t puff up in the chest area and allows for comfortable movement.

Is the fluffiness you’re talking about coming from the insulation of the jacket, or is the cut making you look bigger? Because puffy jackets look fluffy on everyone, but if there’s an issue with the cut, you could look for ones with a thinner fabric.

I think everyone is so caught up in everything. Big breasts are actually an advantage, why are you trying to hide that? The key to looking stylish starts with underwear that properly supports your breasts. If the coat isn’t stylish, no matter how much you try.

For individuals with larger breasts, A-line or oversized cuts are generally recommended, but it varies according to personal preferences. For example, fitted styles can help balance the upper body. I think Cotton and Zara’s patterns are a bit more comfortable in this regard. The main issue is to maintain a straight posture; the feeling of bulging is often caused by poor posture.

Thank you for the suggestions. I honestly never thought that sealers could be a better solution. The zipper issue also makes sense. I should add that I don’t really like long coats; they should be knee-length or something. Still, I want them not to be too puffy.

It disturbs me that women are still experiencing the pressure of ‘appearance’ even in such a simple matter. Wanting to find a coat that will keep you comfortable and warm should be more important than the obligation to look stylish. Being at peace with our own bodies is much more valuable; forget about external pressures.
