I had a hard time choosing a dress for the wedding

A friend of mine is getting married soon, and she was really indecisive while choosing her dress. What color dress should she get? She picked a floral design, but I couldn’t decide whether to wear a cocktail dress or something more simple. Which style do you think would be more suitable?

I don’t think floral dresses look very wedding-like; they feel more like summer events. I tried one once, and it gives off too much of a daytime vibe, you know? If it’s going to be at night, definitely look for something simpler but elegant.

When you say “with flowers,” are you referring to a thin fabric or something thicker with a pattern? I think the fabric choice can really change the idea.

@uykuarasi it’s a lightweight fabric, I can say it’s quite flowy, actually suitable for spring. But I don’t know if it would match the night.

@camkenari I think we shouldn’t be so firmly prejudiced. Sure, we’re getting a summer vibe from the floral dress, but the right accessories, hair, and makeup can definitely balance it out for the evening

Everyone is focused on the flower girl, but it seems like you’re skipping over the part about whether it’s simple or not, as my friend said. Maybe it would be better to consider how the overall theme of the wedding fits into that?

Well, this year the floral trend was quite popular, but as you mentioned, pastel tones or dark solid colors are safer choices for evening weddings. A belted or A-line dress works well according to your body type too. If you’re going to wear the pale floral dress, make sure to complete it with heels.

@iki_dakika apparently it’s all trend, but I think not every trend suits everyone. Besides body type, it’s also important that the dress doesn’t stand out too much in the setting; wouldn’t it seem odd to look too spring-like at a nighttime wedding? :grimacing:

Get yourself a dark-colored evening dress and you’ll feel at ease.
