Today, I experienced one of the strangest events of my life. I needed to take the morning-after pill, and I barely mustered the courage to go to the pharmacy. Just as I was about to get it, a neighbor from the neighborhood approached me and said hello; her eyes landed on the bag in my hand. At that moment, I felt like I wanted to sink into the ground, as if I were doing something incredibly shameful. Did I feel this much embarrassment for no reason? Perhaps the poor woman didn’t even understand what it was, but I couldn’t help feeling bad.

6I think it’s completely normal. After all, this is your health, and it’s silly for the other person to think otherwise. I used to take it without any worries in the past, to be honest, I didn’t care at all 
Did the neighbor say something, or did they act like they understood? Maybe they didn’t even notice.
@soncaykaldi didn’t say anything, but the looks were a bit strange, as if they understood. Still, I’m not sure, maybe I’m just blowing it out of proportion.

Aside from community pressure, it’s very important not to feel embarrassed in situations like these. Pharmacists, due to professional and ethical standards, cannot gossip about anyone. To feel more comfortable, you might try visiting a pharmacy outside the city or in a more rural area.
Don’t stress out. It’s just medication.
