I got embarrassed at the pharmacy because of my girlfriend

I talked with my girlfriend about protection, and we went to the pharmacy together. But she went for another product without consulting me and asked the pharmacist, “Isn’t it the same anyway?” I stayed silent to avoid more arguments right there, but when we got home, I was pretty tense. Don’t you think a decision like that should be made together? What should one do when a person is thoughtless and uninformed in such a situation?

I think we need to make the decision together. After all, there are two people involved. My ex was like that too; he always did what he wanted… I couldn’t stand it and broke up.

How long have you really been together? Because in matters like this, the level of the relationship is usually important.

@kararsiztakil It’s been 1.5 years, but this isn’t the first time he’s done something like this. Generally, he makes decisions outside of my presence before I get involved, and I don’t show any signs of discomfort.

@makarnaoncesi don’t be so quick to dismiss it like that. Does every problem mean a breakup? Maybe the guy misunderstood, who knows, we need to look at the whole situation.

The topic of protection is definitely something couples should talk about together. It has both physical and mental effects, after all. I recommend getting clear information from a doctor or pharmacist, as there may be differences between those products.

I couldn’t endure, I would argue.

@soncaykaldi you might be right, but sometimes even asking about such things at the pharmacy feels weird to me. There’s this vibe around here that just says ‘oh well, let’s move on.’

Perhaps the reason they chose another product is more about ignorance or haste rather than disrespecting your opinion. But you can’t understand this without having a conversation. First, fully understand what they’re thinking; maybe their intentions aren’t that bad.
