I still can’t get myself together even after my relationship ended, it’s as if any moment he might walk through the door or a message will come through on my phone. I’ve literally become jumpy at the slightest sound; my quality of life has dropped to zero. I’m fully aware that it’s over and done with, but I can’t shake off that restlessness inside me. Is there anyone among you who has experienced this situation? How did you overcome this fear, or is it time to seek support from a professional? Honestly, I’m very tired.

3I experienced the same thing, I literally developed anxiety disorder during that time. Every time my phone vibrated, I thought it was a message, and my hands and feet would shake. It wasn’t until I got therapy and took medication for a while that I started to feel better.
actually, this is a very common situation, so it’s completely normal for you to jump at every sound since your mind is still in protective mode. most likely, that feeling of wanting to get out of that door is just your brain playing a trick on you due to habit.
So, does this feeling that you might receive a message at any moment only happen when your phone is nearby, or does it occur when you’re out and about as well? Also, how long has it been since we broke up? I mean, how long has this unease been present?
