Can something come up in a marriage test?

As you know, a health check is required before getting married. Yesterday, my fiancé and I went to get tested. During the test, the lab technician asked me some questions, and I was a bit tense because my fiancé was right next to me while I was answering personal questions. Also, they didn’t reveal the results immediately, which is making me more uneasy. Has anyone else been through something like this before? If there is a definite problem, when will the report be available?

These tests check for HIV, hepatitis, and such. They also check for blood type compatibility. I think you’re overreacting; they would have informed you right away if there was a result. Most likely, there’s no issue.

Why was your fiancée seated next to you? Usually, everyone is taken separately during the test.

@pazardandondum it wasn’t actually seated, but it was within eye distance. When the lab technician asked aloud, it was heard involuntarily.

@cokdaseyapma how can you be so relaxed? The guy is tense during the test, and the report can change if needed. I think these things should not be taken lightly.

There are mandatory diseases to be tested for public health before marriage, especially infectious ones. The results are sent to provincial or district health directorates. If there is a problem in the report, the doctor will provide an explanation, and it generally becomes clear within the same week.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sharing your health condition with your partner. However, during an engagement period, such matters can feel a bit tight. It’s normal for personal questions to make one feel uncomfortable when they’re stressful. I would learn it by myself first.

they had asked me these questions: have you had a blood transfusion or surgery before, do you have a history of infectious diseases, is there a congenital genetic disorder? my spouse was in the same room and understood immediately. I think these are very normal questions, but of course, it varies from person to person.

it was weird for the lab technician to ask like that in front of your fiancé; ethically, they should only be talking to you. Why was a third person allowed in the room? I would have objected to that.

Such things happen, there’s no need to stress before the results come out.
