My girlfriend says 'the calendar day is safe', but I'm not sure

I have a new relationship and we've started talking about protection. But my date said something; 'The calendar method is safe, there's no risk right now.' I honestly wasn't too sure, is this method really reliable? It doesn’t quite align with my health information, but he is very insistent. How should I handle this situation? I feel lost when I can’t express myself.

That method you call the calendar method is very risky, girl. Every woman's cycle is different, and you need to know your own. If you can't come to a clear agreement on protection, I'd suggest considering other options. But this isn't safe at all; honestly, it's even questionable.

But I mean, not everyone, but many people have a calendar method. I've been operating according to this for years, and I haven't had any issues. If you're paying attention to those days, you're safe. Don't exaggerate, I think 🙄

So here's the thing, the calendar method may work with some probability only for women who have a regular cycle, but it is definitely not 100% reliable. That is, the main recommendation for protection is to talk to a doctor and determine a method suitable for your situation. Your partner's wishes should not put you in danger; consent is important.

Let me add this as well, my loop is already irregular. I said this especially, but he said, 'Well, it could happen anyway, why are you scared?' So, it's like he pretends not to listen even if I clarify myself. Honestly, I got a bit annoyed 😅

What kind of logic is this? You've said it yourself, they don't listen, and yet they make you feel guilty. There's no such thing as forcing someone to get convinced about this stuff. I think you should face them and talk openly; if they don't understand, that's their problem.
