My girlfriend has been distant for two days since I said no

I've had to set my boundaries a few times, and when I say no, they literally get cold and take it personally. I get upset with myself when they keep coming at me. Do you think this is pressure, or is it part of the flirting game? How should I approach this?

I've experienced the same thing; I used to think, 'is he always being dramatic, or am I overreacting?' Later, I realized that I was being manipulated. If he flips out at the slightest boundary, that's not healthy—be clear about it. Otherwise, this will end badly.

I think you're being a bit too sensitive. After all, the person in front of you might be trying to establish an emotional connection. Men can be a bit sensitive by nature. It's not right to immediately label this as manipulation.

Establishing boundaries and your partner's response indicate fundamental elements of respect in a relationship. Not accepting a "no" often shows a control mechanism. If this happens frequently, seeking support from a relationship counselor would be healthy.

I've noticed that when I say no, their attitude isn't just limited to that moment. They continue to behave distantly afterward, almost as if to punish me. I’ve started to doubt whether I’m doing the right thing. I tried to speak openly, but they say, "That's not my intention."
