I'm happy with my current job, but I've received an offer from another place

Right now, I'm actually at peace with my job, but last week I interviewed with a place that offered me a salary that's literally double. If I go to my boss and say there's a situation like this, would it be inappropriate, or should I just quit immediately? I really don't know, I mean, after all, it's an economic period but on the other hand, I'm scared about being unhappy there. Do you think I should negotiate or should I just pull out without any hassle?

Thinking about whether I'll be bullied at the new place after leaving the peaceful office environment is literally paralyzing. The double salary offer is great, but check if you can negotiate a raise without disturbing your comfort here by talking to your manager.

Thinking about whether it would be inappropriate to tell your boss when you have a job offer with double the salary is a mistake anyway; everything in professional life is negotiable. I suggest you don't resign immediately, but try sitting down with your boss and see what happens. 🤦‍♀️
