I got in trouble because of my office outfit choice

I constantly receive negative comments about my clothing choices in the office, and this really puts pressure on me. I want to look both comfortable and professional, but I feel insecure because of other people’s remarks.

That’s wrong, I think this topic is being exaggerated

I was criticized for what I wore to the office, and I even considered quitting my job. Then I found my own style and learned to not care.

How long has this situation been going on? Is the work environment the reason?

It’s been like this for a month, actually sometimes other friends join in too, but I’ve started to get a lot of reactions.

You can consider a classic t-shirt and blazer combination to look relaxed yet professional in the office. This provides both style and comfort.

But everyone should dress in their own way, I think you shouldn’t be so affected by others’ comments. You should really prefer things that make you feel comfortable.

@pazardandondum but you also have to fit in with the environment a bit, it’s important not to overdo it.

As an experienced person regarding work attire, feeling comfortable is really important. However, the workplace culture should also be taken into account. Check if there is a specific dress code

If the other friends are dressing in the same style and not receiving any reactions, the issue may not be the clothes but something related to you. Think about why your outfit is particularly standing out. Is there really something disturbing about your clothes, or is it another dynamic?
