Is it normal for my patron to keep doing this to me?

Lately, I feel like my boss is constantly trying to invade my personal space by standing too close to me. When I express this openly, it only frustrates me more. I want to step away from the situation and take action, but I’m afraid of having to leave my job. Should I hire a lawyer or talk to someone else?

I’ve had a similar situation. My former manager was constantly getting close to me under the pretext of “standing next to me,” then kept making snide remarks. At that time, I told a close friend, and we shared it with the other employees. When a warning was given as a group, he had to take a step back. Don’t stay alone, I think.

Is this normal? If no one speaks up, things will only get worse.

So how long has this been going on? Did it start for the first time, or has it always behaved this way? And what does it do when you clearly say no?

It used to happen before @kahvebitmeden, but not this often. When I clearly say “I’m uncomfortable,” they either laugh it off or say “you’re misunderstanding my intention.” I feel very strange.

@aklimkaldi I think you’re misunderstanding; it’s really pressuring you. Why are you still thinking? You should gather evidence and escalate it right away. Or if something worse is going to happen, there’s no point in staying anyway.

Such situations are very sensitive. They can be considered harassment within the framework of labor law. If possible, you should consult a lawyer or a human resources specialist. Any correspondence with the boss and, if applicable, security camera records may need to be notarized evidence. Even if you can’t do anything right away, make notes and never be alone.

Take this seriously and ask for help openly. If possible, report it to your supervisor or HR gradually. If it can’t be resolved, going to a lawyer is a last resort.
