My girlfriend looked at the calendar and said it's not important

While talking with my girlfriend about protection, she looked at the calendar and said, "These are safe days, nothing will happen." But honestly, I don't feel at ease at all. I'm not sure if this method is really safe. Do you know, are we thinking about this incorrectly?

Actually, the calendar method is a natural thing, but we can't say it's safe. This is because a woman's cycle may not always be regular. Those days you're talking about can change with a deviation. The safest thing to do is to go to the doctor and discuss a reliable method of contraception. This should be done openly, without hesitation.

But I mean, I know that the days after the menstrual period are considered safe; people say that no one can get pregnant then. Isn't that right?

@mahrem_saf no, that's not it. You never know when the egg will be released, especially if there's irregularity. After all, we're not all tied to the same biological clock.

@mahrem_mantikli to be honest, I don't have a regular cycle. But my girlfriend believes in the calendar anyway. I don't know how to convince her.

What kind of logic is this? The guy seriously says "safe day" and stops taking responsibility. I think you should speak clearly and explain the seriousness of this issue.

Exactly, exactly, they said, "Nothing will happen anyway," just like a wonderful doctor explanation! What is this calendar method, is this the 1950s? There are modern contraceptive methods.

Girl, I don't know if you're too young for this, but it's no joke. If you're going to take the risk of being a mother, then go ahead, but if you don't want that, clearly warn the guy. If something happens to you, he'll just say 'I told you nothing would happen' and roam around 😂

How was his attitude while he was having this conversation? Did he listen to you, or did he try to brush off the issue with this 'safe day' talk?

@nesnelestirme_elestirmeni honestly felt a bit dismissive. I didn’t feel like I had rested seriously. That’s why I’m not at ease.
