Should I buy an expensive jacket because of the trend?

Recently, I’ve seen a jacket that everyone is wearing, and I really like it. But when I saw the price, I hesitated quite a bit. On one hand, it would hit my budget hard, and on the other hand, I’m afraid everyone will say I ‘missed the trends.’ Do you think it’s sensible to buy it, or should I look for more economical alternatives?

I think buying is unnecessary. Last year I did something similar, I bought a trendy jacket, and a month later it went on sale. Moreover, things like this are forgotten in two seasons; it just stayed in the closet.

Now I will speak frankly, sorry. What is it like to be afraid of missing trends? If you think like that, you’ll throw your money around every year. Wouldn’t it be better if you tried to create your own style a little?

Actually, this is entirely related to your budget priorities. If making an expenditure means you have to cut back on other things for a month or two, purchasing that item could create issues in terms of budget planning. So, it’s healthier to avoid financial strain for the sake of a trend.

I thought about updating it. Actually, I looked into cheaper alternatives like you said, but they were really poor in quality. Now I’m still undecided. I’m a bit afraid that if I don’t buy it, it might linger in my mind.

I experienced a similar situation last winter. I didn’t buy the thing that seemed expensive, but it stayed on my mind constantly. In the end, I wasn’t satisfied with the cheaper product I did buy. I guess sometimes people think too much about it, but the decision is yours, of course. :grimacing:
