Is my family hindering my healthy eating?

I’ve been on a diet to lose weight for a while now, but my family keeps pressuring me to eat. My mom says, ‘Honey, eat some meat, you look too thin,’ and this really bothers me. What do you think I should do? Am I having trouble communicating my own goals?

Are they forcing you to eat? Interesting.

my mom was the same, no matter how much I try to explain, it’s in vain. yours might understand but it requires patience.

Did you ever say how upset you are? Or how serious it is?

I told @pazardandondum, but he just brushes it off saying “don’t play with your health.” It always happens like this.

@uykuarasi If you can’t explain it to your mother, the problem might be with you. Maybe you’re explaining it wrong.

this might be a bit of a cultural issue. it’s common for families to show affection through ‘food.’ if you clearly share that you talked to a nutritionist and made a serious plan, it might help ease things

living in the same house with family always brings these kinds of problems :slightly_smiling_face:

Sometimes when you dig a little deeper into the phrase “don’t play with your health,” fear actually emerges. Do you think there’s a worry about getting sick, becoming weak? Or is it just a habit? The two are solved in different ways.
