Is anyone secretly eating chocolate while claiming to be on a diet?

I said that I was sweating it out in the hall with the instructors for the last two weeks, but confession: I’ve secretly been eating chocolate every day. My friends say I’m losing weight quickly, and I just brush it off saying, ‘self-confidence is really important.’ Is this a lie, or is it my chocolate right? Is there anyone else experiencing something similar?

I secretly eat something sweet every night before going to bed while on a diet, it could be chocolate, sometimes just a spoonful of jam. The teacher told me, ‘your metabolism must be good,’ but the secret is this, I swear

But what’s the point if everyone says they’re on a diet and then eats chocolate? Okay, maybe you don’t have those extra 2 kilos to lose, but doesn’t that set a bad example for someone else who might end up getting hurt even more?

‘A square of chocolate doesn’t ruin a diet’ part varies from person to person. I’m not a dietician, but I think factors like your insulin resistance and basal metabolism should be taken into account. If the teacher is already adjusting it for you, maybe that amount won’t be a problem, but still, keep an eye on it.

Friends, just a quick addition: The chocolate I ate isn’t excessive, it’s dark and just one or two squares. But the teacher said to eliminate sugar intake altogether at first, so I’m feeling a little guilty.

Haha, you reminded me. At one point, I was bragging about eating healthy, but my mom secretly found my cookies at night and said, ‘What’s healthy about that, girl?’ If you catch me, it could be a problem, be careful.

I swear everyone has debated whether to eat chocolate or not, but I think the real issue is lying to your friends through ‘self-confidence’. It doesn’t suit you, be more honest with people :slightly_smiling_face:

Look, my daughter, when you’re on a diet, it’s not about cutting down on chocolate, but on the vitamins you need. If chocolate makes you happy and helps you stick to your diet, then you should allow it, but of course, dosage is important.

I think dark chocolate doesn’t really cause weight gain. I had heard that it speeds up metabolism or something like that. So there’s no need to feel guilty.
