There’s only three days left until my wedding, and suddenly my ex started posting my old photos on social media. When my friends saw this, they told me, ‘It’s like they’re trying to get back together.’ I was shocked, is something being planned? How should I interpret this situation?
I’ve been through exactly that… A week before the wedding, my ex posted a photo of us together on their story. People saw it and wrote to me. I didn’t react at all until the wedding, and then I cut them off. I’m still not sure if I did the right thing.
The ex-partner situation is already a problem in itself. If you’re engaged and they’re sharing that photo, do they really think you won’t be embarrassed? The guy’s side will question this too, it can be misunderstood. Things like this shouldn’t come out before the wedding.
How many years were you together with him and why are you still following these things? Also, from what I’ve read, doesn’t your current fiancé know about this?
@pazardandondum actually my fiancé found out, but I acted indifferent so that it wouldn’t be obvious. By the way, I was with my ex for 2 years, but it never got this far.
It’s also ridiculous to say that this is something the guy’s side directly questions before the coffee is finished. Not everyone’s family and social circle is like that. The main issue is whether he is clear about the situation with his fiancée; does he know about this ex?
This move felt a bit manipulative to me. Spreading old photos could even fall under the category of doxing. You can consult a lawyer or a social media expert to get it removed. Don’t forget to take a screenshot.
@yazipsildim I don’t think the family issue is silly. Everything isn’t as it appears on social media. After all, the person who brought this up has a fiancé who isn’t neutral.
You’ve taken too long to react.
my ex-girlfriend also tried after 6 months, in a quieter way. I displayed a very determined stance, I didn’t even answer her calls. These people don’t like indifference anyway.
