While browsing on Instagram, I noticed something that caught my attention: my girlfriend’s name is at the top of her ex-boyfriend’s story. He put a laughing emoji and was the first to view it. I’m not usually a jealous person, but this is gnawing at me. If I ask, it will start a fight, and if I don’t ask, it just grows inside me. Is this something trivial or a valid reason to feel hurt?

9I’ve been through the same thing, he drove me crazy by constantly watching his ex’s stories. He says he’s not stalking or anything, but the truth comes out. I’d say to question it.
How long have you been together? Maybe they are still getting used to you, they might not have completely moved on from their past.

@soncaykaldi this seems a bit exaggerated; you can’t walk into a relationship with so much doubt. Is watching a story really something to blow out of proportion?
It seems like a summary of the topic title; people sometimes use social media without caring. I think if you ask directly, this mess will become clearer.
Psychologically, cutting ties with an old relationship can take time. Sometimes habits remain, especially on social media. But if this bothers you, don’t expect it to improve without talking about it.
I didn’t understand, did his ex put a laughing emoji? Does your boyfriend find this normal? Are such things generally normal?
