I just looked at my husband’s Facebook friend list and saw that he added his ex-girlfriend. It seemed like a joke because why would he do that? I mean, is it normal for someone who is married to feel the need for such things? Honestly, I can’t help but feel angry. But if I bring this up, I worry it will be seen as me being jealous. What do you think, should I ask him or should I stay quiet and just observe?

5Well, I had a similar experience at one point too. My spouse added an ex-colleague, not an ex-girlfriend, and I got upset when he started calling and meeting up with her. Sometimes men don’t understand what small gestures mean. I think you should talk directly about it, don’t let it fester inside.
Have you noticed this before? Is it doing something like this for the first time, or are there other things to compare it to? If you could explain that as well, I would be able to speak more clearly.
@nazan_ta I can actually say this isn’t the first time, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it so openly. Also, I haven’t seen that they’ve been messaging, I’ve only seen that they’ve added each other.
@ayse_1987 I think you’re the one blowing this out of proportion. The guy just added someone, what’s the big deal? Should a person completely erase their past when they get married? Staying friends on social media isn’t a big deal.
Such issues are usually rooted in a lack of communication. Topics that aren’t openly discussed between individuals can grow and become problematic. Adding an ex could be a violation of boundaries, but it’s impossible to understand this without talking to him directly. Don’t let the situation escalate while you observe. Speak directly and calmly to find out his intentions.
