I’ve been following my diet wonderfully all day, but when it hits midnight, another person just comes out from within me, and I eat everything that’s in the kitchen. When I wake up in the morning, I regret it so much, I can’t even explain; it feels like all my effort goes to waste. Isn’t there a way to close this appetite? I’m really tired of fighting with myself.

3When it hits midnight, the person who comes out from within you might actually be reacting not because of hunger, but because you’ve restricted yourself too much during the day. In other words, if your diet is too strict, your body is probably reacting to that.
I think you should see an internal medicine doctor directly and get your blood sugar and insulin resistance checked. The urge to eat whatever is in the kitchen usually stems from an imbalance in your blood sugar, honestly don’t blame yourself for no reason.
I was also going into the kitchen at midnight every night and eating whatever I could find, but I ended up having hidden diabetes. In the morning, I was so regretful that I can’t even describe it. Once I got tested, everything was resolved for me.
