Husband who finished the tray of pastries at midnight

I used to think my husband didn’t have a thing for snacks, but I realized last night that he quietly went to the kitchen and finished the tray of pastries. This morning I asked him; at first, he denied it, but in the end, he said, ‘I couldn’t sleep at night, I felt like eating.’ Now I’m worried if this will become a habit. What do you think, is the desire to eat even while sleeping normal?

Yes, we have the same at our home. My dad would get up at night and eat whatever was in the fridge when he was a kid. Then my mom noticed, and when she realized that eating at night upset his stomach, it decreased. Maybe you can talk it out and find a solution.

So, has he done something like this before? I mean, is this the first time he has fallen in love with börek? I need a bit more detail :smiling_face_with_tear:

@kahvebitmeden actually did it once more, but it was like a biscuit; it wasn’t something dense like a tray pie :slightly_smiling_face:

@benbisorayim I think what you said is a bit made up. Not everyone gets stomach issues from eating at night. Plus, börek is different from night meals.

There is actually something called night eating syndrome. If it happens repeatedly, it may have a psychological or hormonal cause. However, in cases occurring once or twice, it could be due to stress or simply a habit.

The headline is really dramatized, isn’t it? He just ate börek off a tray, and the guy is portrayed like a criminal. Haven’t we exaggerated a bit?

what do you mean it’s not a crime, is finishing a börek (savory pastry) at night normal? I think there’s a problem :face_exhaling:

so, your spouse will eventually understand if you talk. It didn’t seem like it would be a habit to me; maybe if there is stress or something, that’s why.

@bugun_degil You’ve eaten God’s pastry, come on, don’t exaggerate. Compared to the ridiculous stuff people eat at night, it’s pretty homemade
