I was fired, and they aren't giving me the compensation I deserve?

I had been working regularly at a company for 2 years. Last week, I was suddenly fired under the pretext of performance issues. The problem is that they keep making excuses to avoid paying my severance pay. Frankly, I need to stand up for my rights, but what course of action should I take? Should I file a lawsuit or try to negotiate first?

I was once pulled out like this with performance excuses as well. I went directly to the mediation system and opened a case, it was resolved in a month. I think you should apply to a mediator first, litigation is difficult and time-consuming.

So now that they used performance as an excuse, it means that something wasn’t going well. I mean, they don’t usually just do that out of the blue; I wonder if there was an issue. I think we need to consider that aspect too.

For a justified termination, they first need to document things like performance notes and warnings. If these are missing, the employer is in trouble. If you don’t apply to a mediator, you have the right to sue, but don’t miss the deadline; there is a 1-month mediation requirement.

Friends, let me add this: I don’t understand why they say that based on which performance rating. I didn’t receive any official warning or anything. The workload was already heavy, yet I was still managing to get the job done.

Our former manager always used performance as an excuse, but in reality, he was pushing away those who didn’t want a raise. If you don’t have definite information, postpone filing a lawsuit, first go see a lawyer, but be sure to carefully note the days you left the job.
