I’ve been trying to create a calorie deficit regularly for a week now. At first, I felt lighter, but I’ve been feeling really weak for the last two days. Especially when I wake up in the morning, I feel dizzy, and during the day, I can’t focus on anything because of the fatigue. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the adaptation process? I’m afraid that if this continues, it will affect my work life too.
Yeah, it does happen. I had the same thing. For about 2 days, my head was a bit weird, and later I realized that nothing I was eating was balanced. For example, zero protein. Take a look and see if you’re the same.
Are you skipping breakfast completely, or just eating very little? The dizziness sounded to me like it could be straight-up from not eating enough.
@uykuarasi I had completely stopped eating breakfast and was only drinking coffee. Maybe that’s where the mistake is—should I start having breakfast again?
@makarnaoncesi why do you immediately say protein? Weakness might not necessarily come from that. Maybe there’s a vitamin deficiency. Or perhaps you’re creating a calorie deficit too quickly.
These types of symptoms could be part of the adaptation process or a serious deficiency. But if you have dizziness, I recommend seeing an internist. It could be due to blood pressure, vitamins, or blood sugar — it can be anything. Don’t rely on internet answers for these.
They said you would get used to it, but I think you’re pushing it a bit too much.
When you tell the story so dramatically, people say it’s about adaptation or something, but honestly, it feels like you’re writing about something risky. Is being exhausted all day normal for weeks?
Drinking coffee completely on an empty stomach in the morning has very negative effects. If you’re skipping breakfast, at least have something to snack on, it could be yogurt or fruit. Dizziness is serious, don’t let it continue.
