Should I try the Smoothie diet I saw on 'Kısmetse Olur'?

I’ve been struggling with my diet attempts for a while, I can’t seem to stick to anything I try. The other day, a contestant on ‘Kısmetse Olur’ mentioned they started a smoothie diet, and it’s being talked about a lot on social media. They say they’ve been drinking it constantly and have lost weight. But I’m not sure about it, does this diet really work? Or could it have worse effects in the long run? Has anyone tried it, or what do you think?

I tried something similar for a while too. I only had smoothies for 2 weeks, and I started to feel dizzy all the time. I went to the doctor afterwards, and I was diagnosed with insulin resistance. It turned out I had messed up my blood sugar levels. I think you have to be careful with these things; you can’t do it recklessly.

Come on, beautiful, how far can we go with liquids every day? Most of those things in the competitions are just a show anyway. One has to stop and think, who lives on just two meals a day of liquid in real life? This is health, not a toy :joy:

In these types of diets, there may be long-term muscle loss. Also, constant fluid consumption can make the intestines sluggish. Therefore, it may not be suitable for everyone’s metabolism, and I recommend speaking with a dietitian.

Thank you all, some very nice ideas came up. Let me add this, my weight problem is actually about 10-12 kilos, not exaggerated, but it just won’t budge. I thought a smoothie diet would yield quick results. But if you say it’s risky, I’ll do some more research and look into it.

I read somewhere that this diet makes the body acidic. They said that’s why you might get sick often. Although I’m not sure if it’s true, it doesn’t sound good.
