Is it normal for my husband to chat frequently on Instagram with an old coworker?

My husband has been constantly messaging an old female coworker on Instagram for a while now. He comments on her stories, and she keeps liking his posts. I didn’t say anything at first, but later I got a little jealous. When I asked him about it, he said, ā€˜We’re just talking about work, stop being ridiculous,’ but I couldn’t relax. Is there anyone who has experienced this? Should I consider it normal?

So how long has this been going on? I mean, they could talk every now and then, but since you mentioned that we’re constantly messaging, it caught my attention. Have you ever come across any of their messages, for example?

I think there’s more than just work involved, because if it were just work, the messages wouldn’t be this frequent. Liking and commenting on Stories and all that feels a bit strange, to be honest. Are you sure there’s nothing else going on? :slightly_smiling_face:

Sometimes men do ā€œinnocent flirtyā€ things on social media, but that doesn’t necessarily lead to something physical. If you’re feeling overly uncomfortable, you could try suggesting, ā€œLet’s take a look at our conversationsā€ to gauge where things stand.

I’ll update you, I haven’t looked at your messages at all, but for example, the other day a woman shared a song in her story, and my husband commented on it. It wasn’t even related to what the guy does, it was pretty irrelevant. Anyway, I want to ask directly but I’m a bit hesitant.

I’ve heard that men play the ā€˜alpha role’ when chatting with former colleagues. That’s why they wouldn’t want to lose interest. Do you know about that event? I think it might be because of that

Come on, I don’t think it needs to be dramatized that much. Your husband has already clearly told you that ā€œwe’re talking business.ā€ Maybe he’s maintaining a sincere friendship due to his old ties. Pushing it that hard might be a bit much.
