The hairdresser cut too much, I turned into a completely different person

Guys, I went to the hairdresser to get my hair cut but I don’t understand how it happened; they cut at least 10 cm more than I wanted. Every time I look in the mirror, I can’t recognize myself. I’m experiencing this for the first time, and I don’t feel like going outside. Do you think I’m overreacting, or should I talk to the hairdresser?

I went through the same thing; there was a hairdresser in Küçükyalı who cut it way shorter than I wanted. I literally cried when I got home. But I tried not to make a big deal out of it; I couldn’t say anything to the hairdresser. I thought it would grow back on its own, but next time I preferred to go to someone else.

But hair is nothing, right? So what if it’s cut? It’ll grow back anyway, leave the mirror and focus on what you have to do outside. I mean, ultimately, it’s a mistake, it honestly feels like you’ve made it bigger than it is

Customer requests should be prioritized in hairdressing. If they cut that much despite you clearly stating, they should have accepted the mistake. I suggest you clearly communicate this next time you go there. Or just find a different hairdresser. Honestly, taking legal action on this matter is a bit difficult.

Friends, I thought maybe I’m exaggerating, but I still feel really bad. They say hair always grows back, and it will, but I’m uncomfortable with it like this. I’m still wondering if I would get a chance to say something if I went back to the hairdresser.

It’s not about how much hair was cut, but about your consent. A customer shouldn’t have to go through an unwanted change. So, someone needs to do their job properly and not make you feel this way. You can’t just call it a ‘mistake’ because it concerns your body.

But how exactly did you tell the hairdresser? For example, did you specify the centimeters and show it? Sometimes I say it, but I realize I can’t explain it clearly. Maybe they misunderstood?

I don’t think you should worry too much. Yes, it might be bad, but don’t stress about it so much. You can try a new style; maybe you’ll like it. For example, I hated a certain haircut at first, but then I got used to it. You can change it up with makeup or something.
