I told the hairdresser that I wanted to talk a lot and have him cut very little, but he literally cut it so short that I was about to cry. I get annoyed every time I look in the mirror. It’s like all my confidence is gone. If you have gone through something like this, how did you get over it? Also, do you have any tips for quick hair growth?
I had a similar experience with a hairdresser, it was like a joke. “You’d look great with a short cut, trust me,” the hairdresser said, then snip snip with the scissors… the result was a disaster. I literally wore a hat for 2-3 weeks. I used argan oil and also put on almond oil, it helped a little, but it takes time, you know.
My cousin went through the same thing, the woman simply said ‘there are a lot of breaks’ but my dear didn’t understand of course… We tried natural masks at home during that time. The most effective thing for fast growth is nutrition, but to be honest, there’s no miracle. It’s all about patience.
But now there’s this: if you tell the hairdresser to “cut just a little” and show about 5 cm, but in their eyes, 10 cm is “a little”? People should be a bit clearer. Also, if there are split ends, they need to cut it anyway. After all, the hairdresser is working for customer satisfaction.
Nutrition is very important for hair growth. You might consider taking protein foods and supplements like biotin and zinc. However, you should definitely consult a doctor and get tested to see if you’re deficient, because taking too much can cause other issues. Also, it’s proven that massaging the scalp increases blood circulation.
Thanks for the comments, friends. Let me add this, there were actually some breaks, but I wanted them to be cut from the end so they wouldn’t be out of order. But they cut it quite short without asking me. I mean, I clearly said ‘let it be small’, and it still turned out like this.
Now, if this happened to a married woman, it would literally ruin her home, you know. Everyone in the neighborhood would gossip, saying things like, ‘look, her husband must not have allowed it.’ You have to be careful about such things when getting a haircut; society loves the details ![]()
It’s off-topic, but I don’t understand why everyone is blaming hairdressers. They chose this profession because they enjoy doing their job. Maybe they’re inexperienced or misunderstood what you said. Next time, be much clearer, show a picture or something. I think that’s the solution to the problem.
