The hairdresser cut my hair too short, what should I do?

Girls, I need to tell you, the other day I suddenly went to the hairdresser. I only said I wanted to get a trim, but my hair is literally cut to half my height. I don’t recognize myself in the mirror, my confidence is shattered. Should I get a wig, or should I patiently wait for it to grow back? What do you think I can do to get through this?

Oh, I get it, something similar happened to me too. I told the woman to leave my hair at shoulder length, but she completely lost control with the scissors. I walked around for two months wearing a sweater to cover my neck. I don’t think there’s any other option but to wait patiently.

I had my own hair cut, and I experienced the same thing. I totally understand that loss of confidence. At first, you can’t get used to the length, but hair really grows back quickly. I suggest you use almond oil regularly for a while and wait.

Forget about the wig, you’ll feel even more different. Apply a vitamin serum or something to your hair regularly, it’ll recover faster. Also, if there are a lot of uneven bits, go to another hairdresser to fix it. Don’t force it, but it’ll get better :slightly_smiling_face:

I was going to ask you something, she says she’s cut her hair halfway down but you said you would just trim the ends. Did you show her exactly how much you want? Sometimes hairstylists think they understand… I think you should have been more clear :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

In such cases, hairdressers saying “it looks very beautiful” is usually a reflex to defend their work. Hair growth varies from person to person, but I suggest using a moisturizing mask a few times a week. Also, if you pay attention to your nutrition, this process can speed up.

Girls, you’re really right, maybe we need to be a bit calmer. I looked in the mirror again today… It seems like this length might settle a bit. But there are still some parts I’m not happy with; if you have any other salon recommendations, I’d love to hear them.

This kind of thing is actually a matter of consent. Your hair is yours, and you should have complete control over it. Going to a different length than what you said to take off the ends clearly crosses the line, in my opinion. Women’s decisions regarding their own bodies should be valued.

It was literally the same feeling after the hairdresser’s dye. The color that came out was completely different from what I said. In that moment, you’re so angry you can’t even speak. Later on, I always show pictures and give clear descriptions so they don’t do something random

A friend of mine said to me just like this: ‘If you don’t like your hair, shave it off and go around like that, you slacker!’ Of course, it was jokingly, but he is somewhat right. Honestly, you have no choice but to wait, just stay calm.
