Guys, the other day I went to the hairdresser. I just wanted to get a little trimmed off the ends, but the woman cut it super short. I can’t recognize myself in the mirror, and my confidence has really dropped. What do you do in a situation like this? If you have any hair growth methods or tips, could you share them?

9Ah, I think this kind of thing always happens because the hairdresser just goes with their own idea. Once I went to get my ends trimmed, and the woman ended up cutting it in layers. My hair was literally at ear level. I’m saying a little hair oil, a little patience, but it’s really hard.
I totally experienced the same situation… You’re the one getting it cut, and you’re the one dealing with the disappointment again. During that time, I was using cinnamon oil and massaging it onto the skin; it speeds up the growth a bit. But I never went to the same place again, just a tip!
I’m going to ask something, don’t you think the hairdresser showed you and said, “Is this enough?” I tend to be absent-minded, so I keep checking while getting my hair cut. I wonder if that happened to you too?
Actually, this doesn’t seem like a haircut mistake; it’s more of a communication breakdown. I think when you say “just a little from the ends,” everyone imagines a different amount. Next time, it’s better to say “this much” and point it out with your fingers ![]()
Thanks friends for the comments. Let me say this, I told the woman the same thing two or three times, and I even showed her with my hand. Despite that, she acted this way, so either she didn’t listen or she didn’t care. I’m not thinking of going back anyway ![]()
Such situations can really affect a person’s self-confidence. Seeing yourself differently in the mirror can distort your personal perception. If you feel uncomfortable with your reflection, you might consider seeking short-term therapy support, which can also help you embrace your new hairstyle.
You say you’ve told her two or three times, but why did she still do something else, I wonder? Could she have been arguing with someone there? Or did she deliberately act counter to what you said, I can’t tell ![]()
Clearly, it is a matter of not taking your request into account here. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a woman or a man; if you’re receiving services from a hairdresser, they should act in accordance with your consent. This is a matter of respect, and even for the smallest things, you should be able to defend your rights.
In the past, serious reactions would be given to such things. If someone in the neighborhood deliberately clashed with another, they would even go to the hairdresser in such an event to demand an explanation. Now, unfortunately, no one is standing up for anyone’s rights. It’s really a shame, you should have been more careful.
