Yesterday I got my hair cut at the salon, but they totally butchered it with the scissors. It’s about 10 cm shorter and I can’t even look in the mirror right now. I feel terrible and my confidence has really dropped to zero. How can I get through this? Should I just wait for it to grow back quickly or try a different style?
I also got my hair cut short, I felt so bad at first. But then I got used to it, after a while I actually felt more comfortable. So it will grow back over time, I think you’ll get used to it too.
@yazipsildim don’t think like that, short hair doesn’t always look good. I think there is a price to pay for this too ![]()
What can you do, it needs to take longer, you have no other choice.
I’m not an expert, but the hair growth process varies from person to person. Usually, it grows about 1-1.5 cm per month. Maybe you’re getting ready for winter right now, spending your time with a beanie.
How old are you? I can’t really say anything without knowing that.
I’m 27 years old, and I’ve never cut my hair until now. This length change happened very suddenly. There’s nothing to be done about it ![]()
I’ve seen this topic elsewhere too; it seems quite common. You might need a little time ![]()
It seems like you have a prejudice that this hairstyle wouldn’t suit your face. You can think about this yourself, as it doesn’t really make much difference whether it’s short hair or even long without much difference ![]()
Did you not show any photos or anything to the hairdresser while cutting? Short hair can actually be elegant, but sometimes the hairdresser messes up the look.
