Is it normal to raid the fridge at midnight?

It’s almost midnight, my hands and feet start to shake, and I can’t help but go eat something. I eat quite normally during the day, but at night, a whole different appetite monster comes out of me. Is this normal, does it happen to you too? Or am I completely out of control?

You said it was midnight, and there was a time when I would literally go into beast mode at that hour. I realized it while working, actually; I hadn’t set a proper meal schedule for myself all day. Maybe I thought that what you’re eating during the day isn’t filling enough?

Oh come on, I don’t think it’s that innocent. You said you eat normally during the day, but what if you’re going hungry after 6 p.m.? You can’t just brush it off as a ‘nighttime appetite monster.’ If you’re frequently going hungry, that’s already your body’s rebellion.

You’re probably following a carbohydrate-heavy diet during the day. If your blood sugar fluctuates a lot, it’s normal to experience hunger attacks at night, but they are manageable. Pay attention to the balance of complex carbohydrates and proteins, and think about whether you’re really hungry before eating something or if it’s psychological.

Let me add that I actually don’t eat anything after dinner until the next night. So I eat around 6, then I get hungry again around 12. Maybe I’m eating mostly carbohydrates like you said, I haven’t really paid attention.

To be honest, it’s not really about chaos or anything; it’s more like the result of the disorder imposed on us by the system. As women, we generally don’t have the chance to take proper care of ourselves during the day. Then at night, our bodies, hungry for physical space, come together with our souls, craving freedom. It’s not just a “habit”; it might even be a passive rebellion against this order.
